Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

Welcome to iamadvocate.in — India’s trusted advocate directory. These terms apply to everyone who uses the platform. Please read the section relevant to you.

iamadvocate.in is operated by Final Solution, a sole proprietorship registered in India. All payments, contracts and customer transactions on this platform are with Final Solution.

For advocates

These terms apply when you register and list your profile on iamadvocate.in.

1. What we offer you

iamadvocate.in is a professional directory where you can create a verified public profile to showcase your qualifications, experience and practice areas. The platform helps you reach prospective clients searching for legal help in your city, court and area of specialisation. We do not act as a law firm, provide legal advice, or enter into any advocate–client relationship on your behalf.

2. Your profile & responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that all information on your profile — including your name, qualifications, Bar Council registration, contact details and case experience — is accurate, truthful and up to date. Our admin team verifies your Bar Council document before your profile goes live, but we rely on you to keep your details current. Profiles containing false credentials, misleading claims, or content that violates the Advocates Act, 1961 or the Bar Council of India rules may be suspended or removed.

3. Profile review & approval

Every profile is reviewed by our admin team before publication. This review typically takes up to 24 hours. We may request additional documentation or corrections before approval. Once approved, your profile becomes publicly visible. We reserve the right to suspend or unpublish a profile at any time if it is found to violate these terms.

4. Premium subscription

Listing your basic profile is free. Our plans start at ₹499/year (Basic) and ₹1,499/year (Pro), which unlock enhanced visibility — your phone number, WhatsApp, email and detailed case metrics become visible to visitors. The subscription is a one-time annual payment and does not auto-renew. Apart from this annual subscription, iamadvocate.in does not charge advocates any commission, success fee or referral fee on client engagements. If you have any concerns about your subscription, please reach out to us at support@iamadvocate.in.

Subscription payments are non-refundable once the plan has been activated on your account. We do not offer refunds, pro-rated credits or cash-backs for partial usage, mid-term cancellation, change of mind, or non-use of features. If you face a genuine billing error or duplicate charge, please write to support@iamadvocate.in within 7 days and we will investigate.

5. Client enquiries

Visitors may send you enquiries through your profile page. These are forwarded to you directly. How you respond to and engage with potential clients is entirely your responsibility. iamadvocate.in is not a party to any agreement, engagement or dispute between you and your clients. Fees, payment terms and the scope of engagement are entirely between you and your client — iamadvocate.in does not process such payments and does not take any commission.

6. Case management & data

Our dashboard offers case management, hearing schedule, payment ledger and calendar features to help you organise your practice. These tools are provided as a convenience and should be used alongside — not as a replacement for — your own independent records.

Like any online service, iamadvocate.in may experience occasional downtime due to scheduled maintenance, updates or unforeseen technical issues. While we make every reasonable effort to keep the platform running smoothly and restore service promptly, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.

We strongly recommend that you always maintain your own independent records of case details, hearing dates, client information and payment data. iamadvocate.in is not responsible for any missed hearing, deadline or loss arising from temporary service unavailability. Your data remains safe on our servers and will be accessible once the service is restored.

7. Articles & published content

As a paid subscriber, you can write and publish legal articles on iamadvocate.in to share your expertise and help people understand legal topics. We love seeing quality content from our advocates — it builds your reputation and helps the community.

We kindly ask that all articles are original, accurate and written by you. If you reference or quote content from other sources, please give proper attribution. We also request that articles stay focused on legal knowledge and insights — please avoid misleading legal advice, promotional content for third-party services, or anything that may conflict with the Bar Council of India guidelines.

Your articles belong to you. By publishing on iamadvocate.in, you simply give us permission to display and share them as part of the platform. You can unpublish or delete your articles at any time from your dashboard — you’re always in control of your content.

In rare cases, if an article doesn’t align with these guidelines, our team may reach out to you or remove it to maintain the quality and trust of the platform. We appreciate your understanding.

For visitors & clients

These terms apply when you browse advocate profiles, send enquiries or post reviews.

1. About the directory

iamadvocate.in is a listing and discovery platform. We help you find advocates based on location, court, specialisation and experience. While we verify every advocate’s Bar Council registration before publishing their profile, we do not guarantee the professional standing, competence or outcome of any advocate’s work. We encourage you to do your own due diligence when selecting an advocate. Browsing the directory, viewing profiles and sending enquiries to advocates is free for visitors — iamadvocate.in does not charge clients any fee for using the platform.

2. Sending enquiries

When you send an enquiry through an advocate’s profile, your name, phone number and message are shared directly with that advocate. iamadvocate.in facilitates this connection but is not responsible for the advocate’s response, availability or the quality of service they provide. Any agreement you enter into with an advocate is solely between you and them.

3. Reviews & ratings

You may leave a star rating and written review on an advocate’s profile if you have worked with them. Reviews must be honest, fair and based on your genuine experience. Defamatory, abusive or fraudulent reviews may be removed by our admin team. Each user may submit one review per advocate; submitting the same review again will update your previous one.

4. No legal advice

Nothing on iamadvocate.in constitutes legal advice. The information displayed on advocate profiles — including specialisations, case history and experience — is provided by the advocates themselves. For legal matters, please consult directly with a qualified advocate.

General

These terms apply to all users of iamadvocate.in.

1. Privacy

We respect your privacy. All personal and professional information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data to third parties.

2. Data retention & payment records

Payment, subscription and referral transaction records are retained for 8 to 10 years in compliance with the Indian Income Tax Act, the Companies Act, the Goods and Services Tax Act and Reserve Bank of India Payment Aggregator guidelines. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to support@iamadvocate.in — your transaction records will be retained as required by law, but the personal identifiers attached to them will be anonymised.

3. Intellectual property

The iamadvocate.in name, logo, design and code are the property of iamadvocate.in. Advocate profile content (text, photos, documents) remains the property of the respective advocate. By listing on the platform, advocates grant us a licence to display their profile content publicly as part of the directory.

4. Limitation of liability

iamadvocate.in is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep the platform running smoothly and the information accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform or from any interaction between advocates and clients facilitated through it.

5. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
